Rautaruukki investor relations

Rautaruukki Oyj Stock Exchange Announcement 18 May 2004 at 9.45 am

Ms Sanna Päiväniemi has been appointed Investor Relations Manager. She
comes to Rautaruukki from Opstock Investment Banking where she was
Investment Analyst for the forest and metal refining industries. She will
take up her position on 24 May 2004 and will report to CFO Mikko
Hietanen.
